Amanda and Michael’s wedding at The Braun Manor in Denison, Texas was the kind of celebration that felt both timeless and deeply personal. With their closest friends and family gathered for the weekend, the atmosphere was more than a wedding day—it was an experience of slowing down, reconnecting, and celebrating love.
Amanda’s love of vintage style was the perfect match for The Braun Manor, a historic Italianate mansion built in 1882–83. Originally constructed in downtown Denison by George Braun, a German-born entrepreneur tied to Anheuser-Busch, the home featured hand-carved woodwork and ornate fireplaces crafted by Bavarian artisans. In 2000, the house was relocated to its current 13-acre hillside property north of Munson Park, where it now overlooks sweeping lawns, wisteria-covered decks, waterfalls, and a peaceful pond. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it’s a venue with character in every corner.
The couple brought their own touches to the manor, styling the space with pieces from Amanda’s collection to create a warm, curated feel. Guests wandered through gardens, gathered on shaded decks, and enjoyed the relaxed pace of the weekend before gathering for the ceremony on the lawn. Amanda’s walk down the aisle was framed by the manor itself, while the reception unfolded under string lights and soft candle glow.
From behind the camera, what struck me most was how connected everyone felt. This wasn’t just a wedding people attended—it was one they truly lived. Between the laughter echoing through the manor, the tender first dance, and the evening light settling over the pond, the day felt rich with both history and heart.
Amanda and Michael’s celebration at The Braun Manor was proof that when people gather with intention, magic happens.
If you’re planning your wedding and looking for a photographer to capture both the beauty of the moment and the soul of the setting, I’d love to connect.
